Infrastructure and Subjective Well-Being from a Gender Perspective

Mainstreaming gender analysis into all aspects of policy making, including infrastructure and economic policy, is a key aspect to achieving equality. The main objective this paper examine the impact several public infrastructures on well-being by gender, applying Capability Subjective Well-being approaches. An index access constructed its effect estimated using new survey dataset from Spain. results logistic regression model show that positively affects subjective well-being, particularly female respondents. All dimensions matter more for women’s than men’s. Important differences in types analyzed differs significantly age are obtained. findings suggest designing policies can contribute reducing gap.
